Sugarloaf Mountain is one of the postcard images of Rio de Janeiro and of Brazil, where ascending the mountain naturally is a privilege enjoyed by few, and it's our mission to help these privileged few enjoy this activity with total security and responsibility, guided by professional climbing instructors and mountain guides.
The trail is very pleasant with incredibly beautiful views. During part of the trail it's common to use your hands, gripping roots and rocks, and in another section of the trail it's necessary to climb about 15 meters of rock formations. It's not difficult but the use of proper climbing equipment is fundamental for total security. The trail reaches the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, where we'll take the cable car down to another light trail, included in the price of this itinerary.
