Corcovado is one of the most famous mountains in the world. With an altitude of 704m, it has the Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the seven wonders of the world, on its summit. The Corcovado trail is one of the most classic and beautiful trails in Rio de Janeiro. Being able to reach the summit of this mountain by its own natural resources is a privilege for few. This trail is considered heavy, due to its steep slope, and hand support is needed in some sections.
It starts at Lage Park, a beautiful environmental reserve located in Jardim Botanico, and heads towards the Corcovado Mountain, as far as the railway tracks, where we will then walk up the street toward the mountaintop. Those who wish to visit the monument should have the ticket at hand, otherwise they will have to go down the street (there is transportation) to the ticket counter and buy it, then go up again as far as the Christ the Redeemer statue.
